In This scene we see two different sides of Bond. The first side is commanding and serious whilst Vesper is not ready to be docile, this can be scene when Bond tells her to go and she stands there making him repeat himself but harsher. Bond also look strong and very masculine whilst killing the other male, this connotes strength but also shows he is able to protect himself from harm and others too, as Vesper looks on frighten and is taking in what has just happens.

In the shower scene Vesper is sitting in the fetal position rocking back and forth in the shower, she tells Bond "I have got so much blood on my hands" To this Bond takes her hands and sucks on them, this represent wiping away the blood clean. This is very shocking to the audience would  not take this as comforting someone but having sexual desires however when he takes her in more we can see that there is a sense of comfort, he is not longer rough but does not completely  give in as he wants her to understand that working with him causes a lot of blood to be on your hands.

He hold her hands tightly to show that he is going to be with her through out the steps of the journey so she does not have to worry about being alone. Even though Bond had just changed into the clothes he is changing he goes into the shower, it connotes that when she is in danger that no matter rain or sunshine he will be there to protect her.

Questions about the  media

I asked some people what the media was to them and i have gotten various answers:

What is media to you?

- It is a place to get information

- To be entertained

- Keeping in contact with family and friends

What do you look forward to watching on T.v?

-I do not watch T.V , but when I do watch T.V i usually watch comedies

- I look forward to a movie showing

- I look forward to the news

What do you like to watch?

- I like Romantic films

- Anime is the best i could watch it all day

- Disney movies or movies like Spider man and x men

Do you like music, news or Movies or all?

- I like all varieties of the media as they give me different pleasures

- I like movies as they don't have adverts when you get them on DVD now YouTube has adverts it's really annoying.

- I liked the news most of all as i get to know what is happening around the world and most importantly around where i live.

How do you know what to watch if it is new?

- I just look at the teasers that have come out and if they appeal to me i would find out about the genre to see if i really like it, because most of the time the put out things on T.V and when you go to watch it, it is not what you thought it to be.

- I look at posters or YouTube or the T.V

-I  mostly watch remakes or things out of a book so if I see that it is an adaptation of  book or a remake i will watch it.

If you look up what the media means it means: The mass media is a diversified collection of media technologies that reach a large audience via mass communication. The technologies through which this communication takes place include a variety of outlets.

I asked one adult a teenager and a nine year old child to tell me what the thought about the media and these were the different responses. different ages see the media in a different light. For example the young child find herself using youtube to get most of her information, she also felt that media was only for entertainment.

Whereas the adult felt that mostly the news was informative but could be used for other things.

The teenager felt the purpose of the media however for to keep in contact with family and friends via Whats App or Instagram if not for that then for entertainment purposes only.

Cinematography

Different camera angles that might be used in our film:

High angles

High angles are used to make people look less dominant than there opponent in this instant making them look weaker.

High angles

Low angles

This is opposite of high angle as this makes you look dominant, usually this is firstly used on the antagonist and then after near the end used on the protagonist.

This is when the camera follows the scene horizontally

Panning

A close up is used when wanting to focus specifically an a particular object or person.

Close up

An extreme close up focuses on one part of the body or object, there is no background to be seen.

Extreme close up

Different Editing styles that we might use in our film:

Jump cuts

This is an abrupt cut to another scene to another, it usually does not look smooth but can be, they help move along a sequence faster.

tracking shot

this is used when wanting to follow a certain characters movements, they use tracking shots in sports as well.

 Hand held

This is used to show dis-function of a character and make the scene look more realistic.

Cross cutting

This is when you have two scenes playing together but in different locations. sometimes (as seen in Rush Hour two) they could be in the same location but in different areas of the room.

CGI is very complex use of media but when done properly can be very effective for example in Planet of the Apes they used CGI to en-chance the humans to look like animals. They also used CGI on the buildings to make it look more in there habitat.

CGI

Different type of typography used in different genres:

Because they are different genres to get the movie would have different typography, this depends on the type of affect they want to have on there audience. Sometimes they are small and bold to have more of the focus on the actual event happening in the poster rather than the title so it s left simple, this is seen in Action/ Thriller movies for example Train to Busan goes big to small to big this could be  connoting that when they think everything is fine and safe disruption starts up again, the boldness of the writing could also connote that whatever is causing the tragedy is bigger than they are. others genre such as SciFi express their films through the typography for example Metropolis makes the letters more pointed making it look dangerous and a bit messy.

Film studios/ behind the scenes footage

The Dark knight was filmed in Chicago, Hong Kong and the UK. Some of the scenes were shot in the air in Scotland and in Birmingham.

As with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight (as well as Nolan's Inception), sets were built in one of the two huge airship hangars at Cardington in Bedfordshire, north of London. Three miles south of Bedford, the Cardington Hangars are ideally suited to large-scale film making – they’re the largest structures of their kind in Europe. (Wikipedia)
